In the context of suffering for doing what is right, Peter declares in 1 Peter 3:17-22 the Lordship of Jesus Christ over four seemingly impossible obstacles:

1. He is Lord over the ultimate enemy (sin).
2. He is Lord over the devil’s conspiracy.
3. He is Lord over the sinner’s inability.
4. He is Lord over the highest supernatural authorities.
